What makes Metric different?

Metric describes the entry thread system, not a protection rating. This family is intended for unarmoured cables; match the cable diameter to the clamping range and confirm the thread pitch.

How to choose

Measure the actual outside diameter and check the panel thread diameter, pitch and engagement length. A metric gland and a Pg gland with similar labels are not automatically interchangeable.
